What We Believe at SWC
"Wesleyans believe in one God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Savior of all who put their faith in Him alone for eternal life. We believe that those who are made new in Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct, and can only live this way by being filled with the Lord's Spirit. We believe in the Bible and its sufficiency to establish our faith and conduct. We believe God wills for people everywhere to know Him and be made new in Christ. We believe that the purpose of the Church is to worship God in spirit and in truth, and to reach a lost and fallen world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through its worship, witness, and loving deeds."
Our Pastors
Rev. Rick Matthews
Pastor Rick has served Southview Wesleyan since July of 1983. Originally from Ohio, his life was shaped by athletics, and he is a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and the Chicago White Sox. Through competitive sports, he strove to win. He still does, but the winning is to win for Jesus those who will open their hearts to Him and become part of the Body of Christ. Pastor Rick and Mary were married in 1969, have four children and four grandchildren.

Rev. Paul McBee
Our Youth Pastor, Paul McBee, has been working in student ministry for over 25 years. An ordained pastor and graduate of Ohio Christian University, he has a deep, enduring love for the teens of our community. He firmly believes that the Biblical message of salvation through Jesus Christ is not only relevant for today's youth but necessary to navigate today's challenging world. He is also a firm believer that Christ reveals Himself to a needy world in every aspect of our daily lives. From school to hobbies, social media to music and movies, Christ is reaching out to disclose His nature and call young people to Himself.

Paul is daily supported in ministry by his wife Julie and a team of volunteers who share his same passion to see today's youth, regardless of race or nationality, discover themselves as children of God covered by the saving blood of Jesus.
