Pastor Rick and Mary were both raised in Van Wert, Ohio, and have been at Southview Wesleyan
since July 1st, 1983. They have pastored in St. Mary's, Ohio; Mooreland, Indiana; Battle Creek,
Michigan; and Plainfield, Indiana before coming to Southview.
Pastor Rick has attended Ft. Wayne Bible College (Taylor University at Ft. Wayne), Berean
Christian College, Marion College (now Indiana Wesleyan University), and has taken courses at
Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
An avid sports fan (Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Browns, Ohio State University) he sees our

walk for Christ in the same context as athletics. "We are here to compete for the souls of the lost, for the development of
the church to properly reflect Jesus in our lives, and to deepen our relationship with Him that we may do our best for Him."
Pastor Rick and Mary have four grown children, Tony, Jody, Andrea, and Brett, who are all actively involved in Southview.
They also have three wonderful grandchildren that they are proud of, and want to set a good example before them.
They invite you to come and share in the body life of Southview Wesleyan. "We believe God is doing good things in the
body of believers at Southview. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else."
